Lesha has been fascinated by drawing and painting since her first Crayola caddy of art supplies when she was 4 years old. Filled with an insatiable curiosity of how things work in this world, Lesha delves into everyday objects and scrutinizes every detail of color in light and shadow to reveal a microcosmic world that is present in every small moment. Lesha likens her works to the zen poetry of haiku and revels in the spiritual essence of beauty that is present in even the seemingly mundane, such as a piece of fruit or a shadow falling on a wall. Beauty is everywhere and Lesha chooses carefully to shift the viewer's perceptions by taking the ordinary and presenting it in an extraordinary way.
